I love the petite vanilla bean scones at Starbucks, and wanted to make some vanilla scones of my own. I planned on just making plain vanilla scones, but then I decided to try to make something more flavorful. Using Bisquick and vanilla caramel flavored creamer, I created some tasty breakfast treats. I also had some vanilla bean sugar that I have been wanting to use, and decided it would be a great topping for these treats!
Vanilla Caramel Scones
Ingredients:
3 cups Bisquick
2 tbsp sugar
1 cup Coffee Mate vanilla caramel creamer
1 container vanilla icing
2 tbsp vanilla bean sugar
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Prepare a 8 1/2 inch round cake pan with nonstick spray.
- Mix Bisquick, sugar, and creamer until a soft dough forms. It will be sticky.
- Spread dough into pan evenly.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until they test done.
- Let cool and then cut into 6 triangles.
- Spread icing on top and sprinkle with vanilla bean sugar.
- Enjoy!

These look amazing! And why doesn’t Starbucks in Ireland sell scones??
These sound amazing- love the flavor combo. They look way better than Starbucks’ too!
What is, and where would I find vanilla bean sugar?? Can I get it at Wally World??
Can you make these in a lighter version for those who want to keep their girlish figure? I have tried to reduce calories on all my recipes. I love trying these yummy recipes, but I do have to reduce the calories.
Great idea using the flavored creamer! Hmmm I may need to try that out soon
Big Lover of Scones… on my way to the Kitchen… Thank you for sharing
You can actually make these very light! I actually used the reduced fat Bisquick. You can also use fat free creamer. I would then top it off with just a powdered sugar glaze.
Oh, the different flavor combinations you could do with the flavored creamers! This will be a nice change to the traditional scones I make.
I found it at Whole Foods and if you click on the link in my post it will take you to the products website. There are also lots of recipes out there to make your own.
I can’t wait to try these for the girls!!!!!
I would love to meet you one day for coffee. Let me know when you get some free time.
