Sunday Mornings

Sunday morning is my favorite time of the week. It is the one morning of the week when I don’t have to run out the door at the crack of dawn, and I can sit around in my PJs and relax. As I made pancakes this morning, I thought about some of my favorite Sunday breakfast memories. For some reason, Sunday stands out as the day when there was always a “special” breakfast. Here are some of my memories. Do you have any Sunday morning breakfast memories? Do you like Sunday mornings?
Sunday Morning Breakfast Memories
- Sitting in church hoping mom and dad were planning to take us out for pancakes when the service was over
- Going to the donut sale put on by the girl scouts and boy scouts after church, and getting sprinkle donuts…Then, sitting with several families and all the mothers exchanging coupons from the Sunday paper
- My mom making breakfast at home, and hearing her shake the bacon in a bag to get the grease off of it
- My dad eating eggs even though he was allergic to them, and then sneezing like crazy afterward
- Getting to drink “special” coffee my mom made for me…..milk with a teeny tiny bit of coffee…I blame her for my coffee addiction!

When I was little my aunt connie would come down for sunday dinner at my grandmas and make eggs in a basket with me. I had so much fun and really looked forward to it!

my mom’s homemade cinnamon rolls were always a hit!! She has a great recipe that never fails. Brings back loads of memories whenever I make them for my family!
Awww, this post makes me so happy! My favourite Sunday morning memories are hanging out with my mom while she watched Coronation Street and drank Earl Grey because it was the “Queen’s tea.” And my dad making me “special eggs” with the leftover egg mixture from our Sunday morning French toast (Saturdays were pancake days)
I love Sunday mornings too. It’s always something yummy like pancakes, waffles or hot cinnamon rolls.
I love sunday morning too!!! It’s so peaceful and relaxing! My best memory of sunday morning breakfast is when I was in Argentina, I used to go to a coffee with my boyfriend to have breakfast and read newspapers and magazines for about two hours! So relaxing!!

What great memories! I remember getting coffee with evaporated milk in it. Talk about sweet. Now, I can’t drink my coffee with sugar in it.

I pretty much make chocolate chip pancakes every Sunday and its also the day we just lounge in pajamas, way too long while I watch Food TV!

I love weekend mornings and the lazy, comforting, breakfasts!
I never have off on Sundays, but try to make it special for my famiy before I have to leave in the afternoon.
my family always got doughnuts from local shop on sunday mornings. whoever would be the first to get up would drive or bike over and bring yummy fresh doughnuts home for the family.
We always went and got fresh baked bagels after church on sunday mornings

I definitely love mornings on the weekends. I see my dad on the weekends and I always make breakfast… pancakes or scones or crepes or whatever else. I love how calm and warm it is in the morning with the sunshine coming through.
This is a great post – I love Sunday mornings too, when the weather is nice and I wake up early, ready to start the last day of the weekend!
I loved Sunday morning! After CCD I would go to my grandma and grandpa’s house for a nice big brerakfast, then my whole family would also come over and have dinner together!
