Starbucks Instant Coffee: Tried and Reviewed

by megan on March 20, 2009

I received my Starbucks instant coffee samples in the mail today! I have been anxiously awaiting their arrival. The package included two samples: Columbia roast and Italian roast. Since it was the afternoon, and the sun was shining on this first day of Spring, I decided to try it cold. I mixed the Columbia roast with cold water and a little soy milk. My coffee loving taste buds were thrilled. It was delicious. I can’t wait to try the Italian roast. I think I might just have to invest in some of these little packets of coffee goodness. A package of 12 is $9.95, which costs a lot less than $2.00 for a daily grande coffee. I haven’t seen them in stores, but you can purchase them here.

I may have to try those – good for when you’re on the go. Are they as strong caffeine wise as a regular Starbucks tall cup?

I hadn’t realized Starbucks did this! I have to get some; eek, this is such exciting news! Especially because my coffee maker is on the fritz!

Ooh, I didn’t know they would dissolve in cold water, that sounds great for iced coffee! Thanks for the review! :)

Thanks so much for the review! My husband and I keep seeing the commercials and are interested to try it. I’ve never been a big instant fan, but it would be great to have something to turn to when you can’t get some fresh brewed. :)

Oh wow, glad you enjoyed it! I want to try to find some when they start featuring them in stores!

Megan thanks so much for letting us know about the Starbucks Instant coffee. I’m excited. If I can’t find it at the Starbucks store I’ll order it online. I already have the mocha powder so now I can make my own Mocha Cafe. Thanks love.

sounds like a deal, except that you forgot to add the cost of milk you’re putting in the drink :) + the amount of waste thse little cute plastic pockets produce…

just a side note – Starbucks sells TAZO Chai Tea Concentrate for $9.90/ea. Go to Whole Foods and get the same thing for $3.99. Starbucks sucks! Always overpriced. Got fed up and purchasde my own espresso machine that paid itself off in 1 year.
