Rubber Ducky Cake

by megan on May 9, 2009

My sister has done it again! She has created another EXTREMELY cute and impressive cake! I think this one is definitely my favorite. She used fondant for the soap, bubbles, and towel, and she used pirouette cookies for the outside of the tub. I wish she lived closer to me so she could make all the cakes for my special events during the year.

I can only repeat what everyone else has said: Cute! Adorable! Amazing!

There’s no way I can do anything like this but would it be okay if I ‘borrowed’ her idea of using the pirouette cookies around the cake? I’m making my own b-day cake and this would be such a pretty way of finishing it!

I have some large Tapioca pearls that I keep thinking would be fun to use as bubbles on a bathtub cake but I have no reason to make a bathtub cake. But this rubber ducky cake is too cute. Maybe I can find some reason for a cake like this. It’s precious!

That is so cute. I’ve always wondered, where do you get fondant? Do you buy it, or do you make it?

I’m always impressed with people who can make great cakes!
