Road Trip Food…Hill Country of Texas Style

by megan on February 12, 2012

This weekend involved a road trip to Boerne, Texas. I love riding through the Hill Country of Texas. The scenic back route was taken rather than driving the main highway.

Dinner was at the Limestone Grille which is in the Ye Kendall Inn which was established in 1859. I love dining in original places, especially when they are older and full of history.

The menu was amazing and it was hard to choose what to eat, but I finally decided on the Shrimp and Cheese Jalapeno Grits. It was delicious!!

After dinner drinks were had at The Dodging Duck Brewhaus, which is a Microbrewery. Samples of four beers were presented to help us decide which brew we wanted.

The beers each had duck themed names. The samples were good, but their tastes were too strong for me!

Leave it to me to order wine at a microbrewery!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Stay tuned for more Hill Country Food in the next post!
