Pumpkins For Pink: Submit Your Pumpkin Recipes To Support the Fight Against Breast Cancer

2009 October 14

PUMPKIN1B

I am running in the Dallas Susan G. Komen 5K this Saturday in honor of my grandmother, as well as many other friends who are currently fighting the battle, and several friends who have passed away. I wanted to do something in addition to the run to help support the fight against breast cancer. I decided that I would collect pumpkin recipes from all you wonderful bloggers out there, and combine them in an e-book. I will then provide the link to the e-book full of fabulous pumpkin recipes in exchange for donations to the Susan G Komen Foundation. No minimum or maximum donation will be required. Even a few cents would be appreciated! I am so excited to see how many pumpkin recipes we can collect for a good cause. I will accept recipe submission from now until next Tuesday, October 20. Please send me your pumpkin recipe with at least one clear picture to megslp18@hotmail.com. Thank you in advance for your participation! :)

Awesome! I posted a recipe for pumpkin hummus on my blog today. I’ll send that one in.

Also, I hope you don’t mind me mentioning this, but I’m doing an ebook for Breast Cancer Awareness, too, called Blogging for A Cause. It’s open to whatever blog post (recipes, fitness, inspirational, whatever!) you’d like to submit if you’d like to contribute, too.

Here’s the link for more info:

What a great idea! I have some very good friends who have fought breast cancer, and even though I just did big donations for their teams running in Canada, I would donate to this also!!
