New York City…Here I Come!

by megan on January 12, 2010

I recently received the exciting news that I was chosen to be one of the 15 FoodBuzz Featured Publishers to participate in an event sponsored by Electrolux in New York City. We will be participating in a cake decorating event with Kelly Ripa to support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. The mission of the OCRF is to fund research to find a method of early detection and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer. The OCRF helps patients and their loved ones understand the disease and its treatment, and provides outreach programs to raise public awareness. I am so excited that I have been given the opportunity to be a part of such a great event and to meet some of my fellow food bloggers.

my close friend’s mom passed away from Ovarian Cancer and we do a walk every year to raise money and awareness, please tell Kelly that she needs to keep this cancer in the limelight to get more research money and if she wants to do our walk …KOHNJ….
