I try to be greener by reusing plastic bags and recycling soda cans. Thanks for the great giveaway!

Rachel April 22, 2010 at 4:01 am

I try to be greener by recycling, washing my clothes in cold water, and using environmentally friendly cleaners.

Jen B April 22, 2010 at 4:28 am

I choose not to own a car. I’m 29 years old and have never had a car! I bike or take public transit. Sometimes its a pain but sometimes its easier anyway! I never have to worry about parking, gas or insurance.

I try to be greener in lots of ways because I think it’s so important. The biggest was learning to stop using plastic bags and take my own. When I do get plastic bags they are now trash bags and did you know the liner of a cereal box works as wax paper!

I try to be greener by car pooling and also ony purchasing enviromentally friendly cleaning products.

Erica April 22, 2010 at 11:55 am

I try to by washing all my clothes in cold water, using green cleaning products, having my own garden, buying at the farmers market and using my own bags when shopping. There are still a lot of things I need to get better at though.

I just bought reusable grocery and produce bags to use!!

Joy April 22, 2010 at 12:26 pm

My favorite way to be greener is to walk to the grocery when I only need something little (and have a couple hours – it is 4 miles)

denise April 22, 2010 at 12:43 pm

We have chnged out our lightbulbs and reuse our own shopping bags.

My favorite way to be greener is to turn on the AC only if it is truly hot. I leave the windows open as long as possible!

We make our life greener by regularly recycling everything possible. We also use CFLs, Energy Star appliances, and reusable shopping bags. We combine driving trips to save mileage — and turn things like lights off when not in use. *Thanks* for the giveaway!

I try to recycle as much as I can… I also make sure I have a bag with me when I go out for walks… this way I can pick up all the stray trash around my neighborhood. A greener earth is a more beautiful one!

Courtney April 22, 2010 at 6:26 pm

I bought a Brita filter water pitcher and a reusable bottle. Instead of buying plastic water bottles, I fill up my bottle to take with me.

I recycle as much as possible.

Lauren April 22, 2010 at 10:51 pm

I try to be greener by using a Sigg water bottle, recycling ALL the time (I even rinse out takeout containers and recyclable lids from fountain soda cups), and turning off the lights and unplugging appliances/electronics from the wall when I’m not using them – just to name a few!

We don’t have curbside recycling here, but that doesn’t stop me. More often than not, my trunk and sometimes my backseat is full of bottles, cans, and paper waiting to be taken to a drop off site.

Marci J April 23, 2010 at 1:36 pm

I no longer buy bottled water

Recycle and using reusable bags whenever possible (including gift giving- no more expensive bags that go right into the trash). Attempting to grow our own salad garden. We started refilling steel water bottles- instead of buying water bottles every week. Baby steps to helping out!

We recycle everything we can and compost most of what we can’t. We use high efficiency light bulbs, only use reusable shopping bags, and both have Siggs instead of buying water bottles.

Jamie April 23, 2010 at 9:18 pm

I try to be greener by using reusable shopping bags, participating in our curbside recycling program, chage our lightbulbs to more energy efficient ones. Thanks for the giveaway.
