Cakes and Memories!

Here’s are some of my sister’s amazing cake creations! As I look at them, I remember all the wonderful cakes I had growing up through the years. Birthday cakes are always so special and leave lasting memories. I would love to hear about your cake memories. I’ll start with my cake memories! I remember some of my favorites…I had a clown cake, a Muppets cake, a Garfield cake, and a Strawberry Shortcake cake!

My Mom always made me my fave…chocolate cake with icing made of peanut butter and nutella and then decorated with Smarties.

My fave cake I had as a kid was a Cookie Monster cake, he even had a chocolate chip cookie sticking out of his mouth!

I have a great recent cake memory. On my last day of work from my previous job, my co-workers surprised me with my favorite dessert, Strawberry Shortcake! The brought homemade Pound Cake, fresh strawberries and cool whip. It was amazing and so thoughtful of them to get something in special instead of a generic store bought cake. I definitely had the best going away cake ever!

Those cakes are incredible! My mom made me a Raggedy Ann cake one year… but, the best was what she called her “psychadelic” cake. A simple Red Devil’s Food cake with what looked like tye-die icing! It’s still a favorite with me and my brothers.
Beautiful cakes! My mom has had a cake business for most of my life – amazing talent. I, on the other hand, have never mastered the artistic ability or the patience! I really like your sister’s style. So pretty to look at and I’m sure better to taste.

We never had fancy designs, just wicked chocolatey chocolate cake. Often with raspberries that my parents grew. I suppose that will have to do…

Gorgeous cakes! I never had anything too fancy but I always had three or four different cakes. My Mom would make one or two and my grandma’s always made me one!
