Coffee cake is such a wonderful breakfast treat. When I was little, my mom frequently had Entenmman’s coffee cakes as special treats for weekend breakfasts. My favorites were the ultimate crumb coffee cake and the cream cheese filled crumb coffee cake. I decided this Sunday should be a coffee cake day. This recipe is from Kraftfoods.com and is very versatile. You can use any flavor pie filling, and top it with nuts if you desire. This Sunday seemed like an apple and cinnamon kind of day, so I used apple pie filling!

Apple Filled Coffee Cake
Ingredients:
1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake mix
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup sour Cream
3 eggs
1/4 cup water
1 can (21 oz.) apple pie filling
1 cup powdered sugar
1-1/2 Tbsp. milk
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Beat first 5 ingredients with mixer until well blended. Pour into greased and floured 13×9-inch pan; top with spoonfuls of pie filling.
2. Bake 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 min.
3. Mix sugar and milk; drizzle over cake. Cool completely.
