It must be Pirate Season, because my sister made a pirate ship cake for a birthday too! Every bit of this cake is edible, except for the flags and the pirates. The ship is made from carved and stacked 10 inch round cakes, and the treasure chest and map are made of fondant. I wish I was at the party to taste this cake. It was a marble cake with a chocolate ganache filling! YUM!
