I am officially signed up for my first 1/2 marathon as part of my continued effort to raise money for the fight against breast cancer. I have only run three 5k races….so this is a big step for me. Training will start now, and I will be ready to go on March 14, 2010. I have set up a fun new donation page. So keep those donations coming in and get your Pumpkins for Pink e-book. Even a donation of 50 cents will get you a ton of great recipes from fabulous bloggers. There are 45 pages full of pumpkin recipes just perfect for the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday. Click here to get yours now. Thank you to all those who have already donated for such a wonderful cause!!!!!

Congrats on training! I want to hear how it goes. My hubby runs – I do not.

Congrats on making that initial step. I have run a couple now, and am signed up for my next one in April. So, I will be right behind you on that training!

I assume they gave you a good training program to follow, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Good Luck!

It’s awesome that you’ve signed up for your first 1/2. I just completed my fourth one this past weekend. I think the 1/2 is a great distance. It’s long enough to really test yourself, but short enough to keep the intimidation factor to a minimum.

Congratulations on signing up for your first half marathon! I just ran my first half in Philadelphia right before Thanksgiving and there’s no feeling like the one I had when I crossed that finish line. Good luck with your training!
